A TRIP OF A LIFETIME....

This picture was taken in St. Anton, Austria.  I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to travel over to Europe for both pleasure and business which entailed a corporate photoshoot.   The beauty of the alps was breathtaking and exceeded my expectations in so many ways.  I think one of my favorite parts was the drive from Munich, Germany to St, Anton, Austria.  All the little villages with beautiful snow capped colorful buildings were just what I envisioned and I count it such a privilege to be able to experience it first hand.  God's creation is absolutely AMAZING and I can't wait to soak more of it in wether its the beautiful daffodils that will poke their buds through the moist dirt here in a couple months right in my front yard, or traveling to far away lands and discovering that which my eyes have not yet seen .

This is the little town of Friedberg, Germany located just outside of Munich.  We had a little bit of time before picking up a friend at the airport, so we decided to take a drive out there for a little bit and explore.  It was a Sunday, so unfortunately the shops were closed, but it was so nice just to walk around and get a feel of the European culture..

The picture to the right is the inside of one of the beautiful churches in town.  The service had just let out so we were fortunate enough to be able to go inside and take in the architecture and beauty of this very old building.  Afterwards, we stopped for breakfast at a local restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed a bagel, lox and coffee before heading back.

I've skied a lot of places, but nothing compares to these magnificent mountains peaks.  You see pictures but, you don't think anything can possibly be so awe-inspiring and then there your are standing there staring out at this vast landscape.  After all the obstacles I had faced this last year, skiing the alps was the most liberating experience.  It sent my soul soaring like nothing had up until this point.  The second day of skiing we decided to take a route that took us over a few mountain peaks to a little town called Warth.  Almost 7 hours later and some very sore legs we arrived at our destination.  We were supposed to be able to take a 15 minute bus ride back to St. Anton but we quickly found out the road was closed.  We ended up having a friend come and get us which was 2 hours each way around the mountain.  While we waited we made the best of our time and sipped champagne and played games.

We ate at a lot of local restaurants while in St. Anton as well as Augsberg.  All the food was delicious, but I must admit I really enjoyed the beer (and I'm not a beer person) and also a new drink I was introduced to called Gluhwein.  Gluhwein is a hot wine drink not so different from hot apple cider.  I especially enjoyed it up on top of the mountain top while basking in the sun.   It was fun collecting memorabilia a long the way as well..  Someday I may get around to making a scrapbook, but for now I will share on my blog.

This picture was taken on top of one of these glorious mountains. As I write this I am reminded of all the scripture about mountains in Gods word.   One that comes to mind is from Psalm 95:4. "In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him."...

After spending a few days sking in the alps, we made our way back to Augsberg, Germany where they had their European launch for Aloe Veritas.  It was such an honor to be part of such an exciting event.  Aloe Veritas is a new skin care and aloe drink based company that will be launching here in the United States in the very near future.  Their products have been scientifically proven and from first hand experience are just FABULOUS.
